The LeaderShop empowers youth to become community-minded individuals through diverse programs that foster confidence, knowledge and leadership.

The programs and services of The LeaderShop are guided by the following values:

Primo Dance Troupe is holding its annual "Never Stop Dancing" showcase Saturday, April 9th. Our goal is to express to youth the importance of participating in the arts, such as dance; no matter what stage of life you're at, you should continue to be involved in the activities that make you feel great, to maintain your passions, and to "never stop dancing," in all aspects of the phrase. 

We are unique because we aren't affiliated with any cultural organization, style, denomination or any other demographic. We are a coed group of dancers bringing together many different styles and embracing the diversity of Chicago dance. There is no other event in Chicago that brings together professional and college companies/crews free of admission, for purely performance based interests, no competition and in a judgment-free atmosphere. We want accessibility for dance by welcoming anyone to come be a part of this amazing, creative community.

"Why Not Us? Why Not Now?" is the theme of this year's Midwest Filipino American Summit and it is a call to action for our entire generation.

Think of a time when you felt passionately about a cause, project, or movement, but ended up telling yourself that you could not make a difference by yourself.

Think of a time when you felt a rush of motivation to make your life better or to make your community a better place, but you did not capitalize on your overwhelming excitement in that moment.

Our goal is to give you the tools, connections, and motivation to take advantage of all that you have around you to truly have a lasting impact by the time you leave Minnesota.

Come dance with PhiNix! Every week we'll be bringing in some of the best student and professional hip hop dancers from Chicago. Open to everyone, and all skill levels welcome!

Join PhiNix after weekly workshops for an hour of open session! This event is open to everyone - no need to be affiliated with the university to attend. Again, all skill levels are welcome to come check it out; we are friendly and happy to share!
